• Question: why does the sun spin around the earth instead of the earth spinning around the sun

      Hey!

      The sun is much larger than earth (over 100 times larger)! We spin around the sun because of the pull of the suns gravity,.
      How did that happen in the first place? The solar system was formed from clouds of dust and nebulae, which were spinning.
      The cloud was hottest and densest in the centre, which is where the sun formed.
      Dust and clouds were still circling around the centre, but particles on the outer orbits of the sun stuck together eventually forming moons and planets on the outer rings.
