      Hey!

      The Egyptians were one of the first people to invent the alphabet in the form of hieroglyphs. Their alphabet consisted of letters like we know them, but also of symbols that sound like the word they represent. Like a drawn duck would stand for the word ‘duck’ but could also sound similar to the Egyptian word for son.

      Our alphabet comes from the ancient greek alphabet, which developed in what we know over hundreds of years.
