• Question: how long have you been a scientist and how much longer do you think you'll be one

      I’ve been a scientist since I started studying science, which was probably back in primary school when the library-in-a-van came around and I found books about computers, ants and volcanoes and thought they were way better than whatever our English/Irish books were about.

      I’ve been doing science as a job for about 4 years now.

      I plan to keep doing science until they’re nailing my coffin shut 🙂

      Hiya!

      I stared being scientist when you are really young! One summer my grandpa allowed me to get a little tank and catch some small fish from our local river because I kept asking questions about them!
      We were observing them the whole summer in the tank. I learned what they eat, where they liked to hide in the tank, that they can change colour, that they need oxygen and so on. When autumn came we let them go! I think that’s when I became I scientist 😉

      I finished uni three years ago, I guess thats when I became officially a scientist. I do like my job, I learn something new every day and I get to go outside to the sea shore t0 observe animals and do experiments. So I would like to keep doing this for a few years at least!
