Me, I like gadgets and technology. I like the science behind them, and I like using them to do more science, or to relax, like with a few video games after a long day at the lab.

I love being in touch with information, so I am always surfing the internet and finding new things to amuse and educate myself. I think it’s absolutely brilliant that we put satellites in orbit around the planet so they could bounce signals off each other in order to deliver a picture of a cat dressed up as a bumblebee to my computer screen. I love playing games with people around the world, and I love how technology has made that possible. Before the internet came along, if two people wanted to play a video game, they had to be in the same room and use the same console or computer and often split the screen in half. Online games only became possible in the last 15 years. Email, Facebook, search engines, none of them existed only a short time ago. And I love that they exist now.

Everyone’s different. There are probably things you like doing that I would find boring. If we all liked the same things, life would be very dull. 🙂
