It changes a lot. Today I didn’t get any real work done because I was hunting down samples in freezers and supervising a masters student visiting from University of Limerick.

I try to get 4-5 hours of solid science into my day, but it’s not always possible. It’s 6:41pm and I’m still in the lab sorting out an order for chemicals from some company or other. Not very sciencey 🙁

It really depends on the day! Usually 4 hours of science, if I lock my office door and don’t let students in!

      Hiya!

I start at 7am usually because its nice and quiet in my lab, and finish at around 5! Sometimes things take longer when experiments go wrong or when I work outside by the sea!
